Policies & Information

  • Collaborative, honest, and empathetic. I value authenticity and transparency. I invite you to show up as you are; we will work together to support the journey you are traveling.

My experience working in as a Nurse positions me uniquely to understand experiences of burnout, caregiver fatigue and grief. I understand the complexities of work-life balance, and the experiences of trauma as a frontline worker.

I also understand empathy and compassion; these gifts guide my work, leading to a safe, understanding space for you to come as you are.

  • Getting started is easy. Use the contact form, schedule a call, or email me—I’ll explain the next steps and answer questions. I strive to reply within one business day. You can also call; leave a voicemail if needed, and I’ll return your call as soon as possible.

  • This depends! Some folks come with a very specific goal in mind and can achieve it in a shorter amount of time. Others prefer to develop long-term relationships with a therapist, and so we work in an ongoing way.

  • Fees range from $125-$150 per session depending on length of session.

  • This depends upon your insurance provider and policy. I encourage you to connect with your insurance provider to determine if they cover nursing services.

Please note that at this time, I do not offer direct billing to insurance providers.

  • A sliding scale is not offered at this time.

  • We all know life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change. When you need to cancel an appointment, it’s more than just a schedule change for me. It leaves a gap that could have been an opportunity to help someone else in their mental health journey.

I understand that things come up, but I kindly request that you provide me at least 48 hours advance if you need to cancel. This way, I can offer that time to someone who might be waiting for a session.

I hope you understand that for cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment, I have to charge a fee of 50% of the session rate. This policy helps me to manage these last-minute changes fairly.

If an appointment is missed without any notice, I’ll need to charge the full session fee. I do make exceptions for medical emergencies, of course, because your health and well-being are what matter most.

Thanks for your understanding and for helping me to be there for you and other folks needing my support as well.

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a structured, proven therapy that helps people spot and change unhelpful thoughts and actions. It teaches practical skills—like rethinking negative thoughts, trying new behaviours, and solving problems—to reduce anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, and obsessive thoughts. CBT is goal-focused, collaborative, includes homework, and tracks progress to create lasting improvements in thinking, feeling, and coping.
